Plastic Jesus Barbie
He stands about, oh
Eleven inches
White European Jesus
With pre-recorded voice
Spouts scripture numbers
That did not exist
In His time
Thousands of them
Surround your ankles
All of them programmed to save
Your wretched mortal soul
And you realize it's
The Second Coming

And ruggedly good looking too. Must be the beard.
I still crack up that Jesus is always depicted as some Hippie, or nowadays some Country Singer, or in my day Barry Gibb from the BeeGees.
Beautiful, love the last two lines.
@psiler - This incarnation of Jesus reminds me strongly of "Buddy Christ!" from Dogma.
If it were 'Buddy Christ', he'd have a huge grin and a big 'thumbs up'.
Creepy and strangely inappropriate. The DOLL, not the poem, which, as usual is excellent.
I'm at a loss for words for once in my life as to what to think of that doll..........I wonder WWJD if he laid eyes on that doll? I'm curious as to what the makers of the enigma chose as the most important scriptual words that the doll could say that would summize his legacy? I think it should be a Beatles tune? 'All you need is Love?'.........curious I am...........MML By the way once again you are magnificent in your poetic representation my friend......MML
